2/2 Way Brass Solenoid Valve is a fluid switching device controlled by electromagnetic force. Its main body is made of brass, with two interfaces (1 in, 1 out) and two working states (on/off). It is widely used in the automation control of media such as water, gas, and oil. "Two-position two-way" means that the valve has two ports and two positions. This means that the valve has two possible flow paths or positions: open and closed. 2/2 Way Brass Solenoid Valve is usually used in applications that require corrosion resistance, durability, and compatibility with various fluids.
Content
1. Selection considerations
(1) Media compatibility
Water/air: conventional brass valve body + NBR seal is sufficient.
Oil/chemical liquid: PTFE seal or stainless steel valve body is required.
(2) Pressure and flow
High pressure scenario: select a pilot solenoid valve (such as ≥0.3MPa).
Large flow: select a large diameter (such as DN15 or above) or flange connection.
(3) Voltage and protection level
Wet environment: Select IP65 protection level (dustproof and waterproof).
Explosion-proof requirements: Select explosion-proof coil (Ex d IIB T4).
2. Common faults and solutions
Fault Symptom | Possible Cause | Solution |
No operation | Burned coil, insufficient voltage | Replace coil, check power supply |
Leakage | Deteriorated seal, stuck valve core | Replace seal, clean valve core |
Loud noise | Pressure fluctuation, impurity blockage | Install a pressure regulating valve, filter the medium |
3. Features and Advantages
(1) Material Advantages
Brass valve body: resistant to water, steam and non-corrosive gases, with a higher cost-effectiveness than stainless steel.
Sealing materials: commonly used NBR (oil resistant), EPDM (high temperature water resistant), PTFE (chemical corrosion resistant).
(2) Performance parameters
Applicable media: water, air, oil (need to be selected according to the sealing material).
Pressure range: 0~1.0MPa (conventional model), high pressure model can reach 1.6MPa. Temperature range: -10℃~+120℃ (EPDM seal can reach 150℃). Voltage selection: AC 220V, DC 24V, etc. (select according to control requirements).
(3) Flexible installation Interface
Threaded connection (such as G1/2", G1/4"), flange connection (large flow). Flow direction requirements: Some models require attention to the inlet and outlet directions (arrows marked on the valve body).
